Why is this so big?

I have owned several re inked stamps from Vista Print, and was in the market to replace an old one. This new one is physically much larger than my old one, but the print area is similar in size to my old one, however the larger size makes it cumbersome for stamping check deposits. I really wanted one the same size as my old one but they didn't have them anymore.

The self-inkers transfer ink from an inner pad and pre-inked stamps have an ink cell and impression pad built in.

To re-ink the stamp, follow these instructions:

  1. To re-ink your Vistaprint stamp, begin by holding the stamp base with one hand, and pulling the handle off the to reveal two round inking tubes.
  2. Carefully place a few drops of ink into each inking port, and then with a gentle downward motion, reattach the handle to the stamp base.
  3. Let your Vistaprint stamp sit overnight, allowing the fresh ink to fully saturate the internal cartridge. Test the stamp and repeat steps if necessary.

The ink used in our stamp is water/glycol-based and is recommended to be used on paper for best results. It is not recommended on fabric, plastic or any outdoor surfaces.
