I really thought this was going to be the stamp that self presses in ink when not pushing on it but its just one inky pad. Because it's pre inked you dont have much control over the ink coming out. My bad for not looking at the details of the stamp closer. Service was really quick thought and the detail in the stamp is acurate to the design so I love that!

The self-inkers transfer ink from an inner pad and pre-inked stamps have an ink cell and impression pad built in.

To re-ink the stamp, follow these instructions:

  1. To re-ink your Vistaprint stamp, begin by holding the stamp base with one hand, and pulling the handle off the to reveal two round inking tubes.
  2. Carefully place a few drops of ink into each inking port, and then with a gentle downward motion, reattach the handle to the stamp base.
  3. Let your Vistaprint stamp sit overnight, allowing the fresh ink to fully saturate the internal cartridge. Test the stamp and repeat steps if necessary.

The ink used in our stamp is water/glycol-based and is recommended to be used on paper for best results. It is not recommended on fabric, plastic or any outdoor surfaces.
