A metal print is a photographic image infused onto glossy metal – giving off an industrial vibe with your artwork. Metal prints offer a modern way to display photos or art, as the vibrant, glossy finish enhances colors and details. Additionally, metal photo prints are highly resistant to water, scratches and fading, making them ideal for high-traffic areas or environments where traditional prints might fade over time.
Under normal conditions with some sunlight exposure, your metal print will not fade.
No. Because our metal prints are made from aluminum, which contains no iron or steel, they will not rust.
We recommend wiping the front of your metal print with a microfibre or lint-free cloth to remove dust. If you need to remove a stain from the print’s surface, non-ammonia glass cleaner, water or rubbing alcohol are all effective options. Make sure you avoid bending, crushing or denting the metal, as well as placing your print in direct sunlight.
Prints up to 8" x 12" will arrive shrink-wrapped in a kraft pad, while sizes 8" x 12" and larger are taped face down to a shipping pad. Make sure you carefully remove all the tape and wrapping first to avoid any bending.
Your metal print comes with a keyhole on the back as well as a French cleat for easy hanging. Follow the directions below to get your metal photo print hung in no time:
Hanging with a keyhole:
- Make sure your metal print is level
- Mark your wall where you’d like to hang your metal print
- Hammer your nail into your wall marking
- Place the keyhole on the back of your metal print into the nail
Hanging with a French cleat:
- Use a level to place the included French cleat in the desired position, then mark 2 holes on your wall
- Using a 3/16" drill bit, drill pilot holes in the center of each circle and insert included wall anchors
- With the sharp point away from the wall and pointed upwards, mount the French cleat to the wall using the included 1/8" screws
- Attach your metal print to the French cleat and hang to the wall
